Sit down with the kiddos, grab a cup of hot cocoa, and get into the holiday spirit with these Christmas Mandala coloring pages. There is also a Christmas Advent countdown coloring page! Download and print out as many times as you like.
Today is December 1st, and that means that Christmas is officially underway!
And what better way to keep the kids busy and
get some time to yourself than…
er.., uh, let’s try that again.
What better way to celebrate with the kiddos than to get out the crayons and color Christmas-themed pictures?!
My oldest has been asking me to make him a Christmas Countdown calendar, so I that’s exactly what I did.
He plans to color in each day until it’s present opening time.
Honestly, it was a lot of fun to make this countdown. Part of the fun was reliving the joy of anticipation as a kid, waiting for Christmas morning.
I stayed up the entire night one Christmas eve, waiting to see if the Santa guy was real, watching the Christmas tree all night from my bedroom. He never came. The cookies never got eaten. (Parents accidentally slept through the night!)
You would think that would’ve been the year I understood the truth, but not me. Dreams die hard. I got up in the morning to investigate, and noticed that the front door was locked. Since we didn’t have a fireplace at that time, I reasoned that Santa must need to use the front door to get in. Mystery explained.
I was irritated at my parents’ chuckles when I informed them, “You locked Santa out!”
Though I was disappointed, at least I was able to spend the following year’s Christmas eve looking at the night sky and feeling certain that the blinking red airplane light in the sky was totally, for sure, Rudolph leading Santa’s sleigh to my house.
Anyway, I love these mandalas. There’s just something about a mandala that invites a grown-up to enjoy coloring just as much as the kids do.
This cute polar bear looks like he’s excited to go wherever he’s going…if he could just get out of the mandala.
And, just like this reindeer guy, I’m pretty sure that my 3 and 4 year olds were hanging ornaments from their ears last night before we all went to bed.
Or at least, I think that’s what they were doing. You can never be sure with those two.
I hope you and your kiddos enjoy these coloring pages.
